KU English Club, which is affiliated with the International English Honors Society Sigma Tau Delta, offers students a variety of student-centered involvement and service opportunities. Essence Literary and Fine Arts Magazine provides students at Kutztown University who are talented, creative writers or visual artists an outlet for the publication of their best work. The goals of the Essence staff are to select the best fiction, poetry, and visual art produced and submitted by KU students for printing and publication in Essence; to design and publish the best and most attractive literary and fine arts magazine that the budget allows; and to distribute as many copies of Essence to students as the budget allows.

The Keystone is the student newspaper of Kutztown University. It is a weekly publication, with a staff consisting of editors, photographers, writers, business managers, etc. The newspaper is produced by desktop publishing techniques. The editors are elected and the governance of the organization is under a constitution. Training in journalism and various production techniques is offered and academic credit can be obtained for participation.

Shoofly is a student-run literary journal sponsored by the English Department of Kutztown University. Founded in 2004, Shoofly showcases original poetry and fiction by students and members of the Kutztown University community.
